Interested in a career where you are valued for your positive attitude, work ethic, emotional intelligence, professionalism, creativity, willingness to serve others, and ability to work well inside an agile team full of energy and ideas? Do you love delivering outstanding client value on time and on budget?  Our ethos is to have happy clients and to be happy ourselves - and we are looking for professionals who can do things the Levatas (Levity and Gravitas) way.

The Agile Project Manager is the client’s primary point of contact on technology projects, and responsible for planning, leading, organizing and motivating Agile project teams. A Levatas Agile Project Manager will have refined project management skills in both Scrum and Kanban methodologies as well as traditional project planning, budgeting and forecasting. You will have the opportunity to take the multidisciplinary skills of the traditional PM and combine them with the change-embracing quality of Agile projects and frameworks. You’ll manage the project schedule, user story backlog, risks/dependencies and coordinate across organizations to ensure the right cadence of progress towards milestones to achieve on-time performance.

The core responsibilities of the Agile Project Manager are as follows:

  • Project Planning and Management- including Release Planning, Backlog management, Sprint Planning and Budget Forecasting.
  • Work with the Product Owner (or client) to manage expectations for project deliverables, stakeholder communication and overall project governance
  • Ensure the team has a clear vision and understanding of client strategy and requirements and that they are able to execute against scope, schedule and timelines.
  • Ensure that project backlog is well planned and groomed so that team is prepared (ie: for a Scrum project, there should be a minimum of two Sprints worth of work in queue).
  • Issue/Risk mitigation or resolution and communication
  • Manage, track and report progress on all deliverables. Including those specifically listed in SOWs and those uncovered subsequently.
  • Manage, report and negotiate Scope, Schedule and Timelines
  • Facilitate and manage professional client communications by hosting client meetings, conference calls, and video conferencing.
  • Ensuring that client receives maximum value and quality across all deliverables
  • Collaborating with the various Team Leads to ensure that the client’s strategic goals are incorporated into the project’s backlog

Specific responsibilities on projects include:

  • Lead iteration planning, daily scrum stand ups, demos, and retrospective meetings
  • Working closely with the Client and Levatas teams to balance schedule, timeline, and budget priorities for the project
  • Facilitate budget uplifts if/when necessary to achieve timeline and schedule objectives
  • Working closely with the Account Management Team to ensure client happiness
  • Ensuring happy clients by regularly collaborating using client facing project tools such Basecamp, TeamWork, Invision, Webex, and Google Apps.
  • Create, manage and track project health, including, but not limited to: project schedules, detailed project plans, project scope statements, cost estimates, resource plans, manage risk, and status reports.

The perfect candidate for this job:

  • Has 3-7 years of Project Management experience on one or more agile, enterprise projects.
  • Holds a certification from an industry recognized organization (PMI-ACP, CSPO, or other)
  • Can provide at least 5-8 references for successful website, software, or application projects
